Halyna Hryn

Halyna Hryn has been Lecturer of Ukrainian Language and Culture at Yale University since 1996 and has held teaching positions at Harvard University and, in Canada, at the University of Manitoba and York University. While concentrating her research on Ukrainian literature of the 1920s, she is also a recognized translator of Ukrainian literature into English, including Volodymyr Dibrova’s novels Peltse and Pentameron (Northwestern University Press, 1996). Her translation of Oksana Zabuzhko’s novel Field Work in Ukrainian Sex is forthcoming. (updated 2001)
