Kathryn Nuernberger

Kathryn Nuernberger’s essay collections are Held: Essays in Belonging (Sarabande Books, 2025), The Witch of Eye (Sarabande Books, 2021), and Brief Interviews with the Romantic Past (Ohio State University Press, 2017). Her poetry collections
include RUE (BOA Editions, 2020) and The End of Pink (BOA, 2016). The recipient of fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, American Antiquarian Society, Bakken Museum of Electricity in Life, and H. J. Andrews Research Forest, she teaches in the creative writing program at University of Minnesota. (updated 2/2026)
