Krista Timeus Cerezo

Krista Timeus Cerezo is a Guatemalan writer who splits her time between Barcelona and Guatemala City. Her fiction has appeared in AGNI and Puerto del Sol, and her criticism in Words Without Borders, World Literature Today, and elsewhere. Krista is an assistant editor at Narrative Magazine, a voting member of the National Book Critics Circle, where she focuses on literature in translation, and serves as a judge for the Gregg Barrios Book in Translation Prize. She holds a PhD in Public Policy from the Hertie School in Berlin and an MFA from NYU. She is at work on a novel. (updated 6/2026)
