Seán Carlson

Seán Carlson’s essays have appeared in The Irish Times, The Missouri Review, New England Review, and The Rumpus, among other publications. His poetry has appeared in Crannóg, Image Journal, The Irish Independent’s New Irish Writing, Ninth Letter, and elsewhere. His debut work of fiction aired on Irish national radio (RTÉ Radio 1). Carlson was awarded a 2025 St. Botolph Club Foundation Emerging Artist Award for Literature and a 2024 Elizabeth Kostova Foundation poetry fellowship in Bulgaria. (updated 8/2026)
