Leyla Shukurli

Leyla Shukurli is a writer, singer, and songwriter based in Germany. Translations of her fiction and nonfiction have appeared or are forthcoming in The Dial, Words Without Borders, AGNI, Reading in Translation, Turkoslavia, and Tint Journal. Born in Siberia to an Azerbaijani family, she grew up at the crossroads of the cultures and languages that have defined her artistic path. (updated 4/2026)
